AUGUST 2019; JESSUP, MD: API announces
the sale of a 48 channel Legacy AXS console to renowned Sound Emporium Studios
in Nashville, TN. Founded in 1969, the studio has hosted recording sessions
with iconic artists like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, R.E.M., Taylor Swift,
Pharrell Williams and many more. In 2017, the studio was gifted to nearby
Lipscomb University. While students enrolled in the school’s Commercial Music
Program have full access to Sound Emporium’s many resources, it continues to
operate as a commercial studio under the management of Juanita Copeland.
Sound Emporium’s Chief Engineer Mike
Stankiewicz noted, “After we purchased our first API console a few years ago -
a 48 channel Legacy Plus console for Studio B - it completely transformed the
room and our clients were over the moon. So when it came time to think about a
replacement for our historic Studio A, I had one console in mind - another
API.”
“After asking tons of clients what they
thought about the going with the new AXS, we received an overwhelming amount of
positive feedback. We knew then that we needed to go with the AXS!”
