One of the most exciting things that we're working on right now, and it's something that many of you know about. As I said earlier, buying that Soundelux tube mic from Mercenary was such a memorable day, because it was the first high quality microphone I ever bought. And with the budget that I had, this would be the only premiere microphone for my studio. How I wished I could have a closet of C12s, U47s, and 251s!
So it gives me such great pleasure knowing that the sound of so many classic mics will soon be within reach, as we finish the Virtual Microphone System. I'm so proud of all of our accomplishments at Slate Digital, but there is something about the VMS that puts me over the top. Fabrice, myself, and our team have been working tirelessly to ensure that this system truly captures every nuance of these famous microphones. Fabrice himself has been customizing the very specific harmonic profiles of each mic that are so crucial to capturing their unique tone. Ultimately, on the day of release, we'll prove in front of respected industry pros that the VMS models will be indistinguishable from the real things. I can't wait for that day!
